The Caterpillar

One day the caterpillar has an impulse to begin wrapping himself in silk thread. This is odd he thinks.

This caterpillar is older and has established himself as a respected member of  his community.

He doesn’t wish to be ridiculed by the others but is overwhelmed by the urge to wind thread around his body.

Finally he embarks on the strange task in full view of his peers.

They watch the ridiculous behavior until he is completely encased in a gauzy capsule.

Time passes,...and he is forgotten.

Repeat.
